SINTEZA S.A., consistent with the ideas of reducing waste quantities and increasing energy efficiency, has launched a project in which it will use various by-products from the benzoic acid production process to generate thermal energy (steam), which will be reintroduced into the production process.
Upon completion of this project, the consumption of natural gas by SINTEZA, currently sourced from the national natural gas distribution network, will be reduced by nearly 2 GWh per year.
